“Thanksgiving 2018”

I so needed that break!

For the most part, we all just celebrated Thanksgiving or some form of it. Hopefully you were as blessed as me and was able to enjoy a few extra days away from the office. I had an amazing 4 days spending quality time with my family. Especially my boys! Our school system was giving a week away from school, so it was unquestionably nice to enjoy some of those days off with the boys.

Thanksgiving for my family has always been about giving thanks for the many blessings that we have, while also helping others.  This Thanksgiving I helped to provide turkeys for families in need. It gives me such joy to know that I helped in making sure that families would be able to eat a sustain full meal. The thanks that I received from those families was nothing short of incredible.

This thanksgiving was a bit different for me. I usually spend the day house hopping to different family members and significant others family members’ homes, but this year I was able to spend the day at my own home celebrating with my family. I ate so much I’m sure I gained the “Freshman Fifteen” all in one day! Being home I must say really helped me to nap some of that amazing food off!

As always my mom prepared an amazing meal so many courses that we voiced to her to NOT do…“insert side eye. “There’s just no way our small family can eat that much food! I would like to thank my mom who I know will read this for always taking care of our family and making sure that we have a satisfying and substantial meal. Everything was delicious and even though I told you not to make all of it I sure helped to eat ALL OF IT!

Other than that the majority of my time off was spent finishing off my Christmas shopping list, cleaning but mostly resting and enjoying time with Aris and Austin. It’s not often we all have days to ourselves to play and make meaningful memories.

Looking back, I wished I took more phots of my family, the food and the ways we enjoyed Thanksgiving 2018’. It would be nice to look back on this next year to see what’s changed and how different things are if they change at all.

I hoped all my talkers had a great holiday break.

Until next time
