Whew, Happy Summer 2020! I don’t know about you, but 2020 is turning into a year for the books! Summertime is my favorite time of the year; this year is no exception. This year more than ever, I’ve been looking for ways to boost my spirits, while also looking good. Even though we are for the most part confined to our homes, we can still take time to look good. You know the old saying “When you look good, you feel good”. It’s true. At least for me, I accomplish many extra goals on days that I get dressed and beat my face. I know what you’re thinking.” Where have you been Latoya?” We’ll save that for another day, trust me you will be just excited as me when I tell you the good news in a few weeks! For now, let’s Talk about this Summer Glow that I achieved by using some of my favorite beauty products!

Brows for Days

Brows are my favorite part of my beauty routine. I don’t know why because I definitely skipped the brow line when I was created. Obviously, my brows are very sparse, so I fill them in quite heavily. Today I used one of my favorite eyebrow combos which is; the Benefit KABROW Gel Crème in shade 5, and the Precisely, My Brow pencil in the shade 4.5. These eyebrow products help to define the brows and they last all day!

 Conceal, Conceal, Conceal

Did I hear someone say CONCEAL? While I do not use foundation, I can’t live without concealer. Today I am using the ELF Hydrating Camo Concealer. My shade is Deep Caramel. This concealer is extremely thick and creamy so use sparingly! 

Set It In Place

I love to set my under-eye concealer with a little bit lighter powder to give the face a more highlighted look. One of my all-time favorite under eye powers is the Fenty Pro Filtr Powder in Banana. It looks flawless and gives an even and matte appearance, which is perfect for under the eyes.

Glow Me Please

There is no summertime glow without highlighter. This I do not use sparingly… but still use it wisely. Today I’m using Fenty Beauty’s highlighter in Hu$tla Baby. It gives the face a very natural, subtle, but poppy glowly appearance. You can’t miss it, but it’s also not too much. 

Lashes On Fleek 

Lashes are not an everyday beauty accessory for me, but when I do wear them I like them to look as natural as possible. I used Pro Beauty Essentials Wispy Lashes. I purchased these lashes from Marshalls maybe a year ago for $4.99! Yep can’t beat that with a stick!

Set It & Forget It 

Don’t forget to set your makeup. This is the most important beauty essential, especially during these warm summer months. If you want your makeup to last longer spritz the finished look with a good amount of setting spray. This helps everything settle in for the long haul. I used NYX’s Bare With Me to help my summer glow to last a few extra hours. 

Glossy, Flossy, Popping 

I’m ending my look with Laneige Lip Balm in Berry. This gives the lips a nice glossy look without being too much. Gloss is the perfect finish to any summer look.
