Letting It Breathe…

I’ve been under quite a lot of stress lately and my skin is definitely taking a hit for it. I was previously achieving great success with my skin care routine but lately you couldn’t tell. During these times I’ve learned the best thing to do is to let my skin breathe! As women we can sometimes get caught up in needing to wear makeup everyday. In doing so not only you but people you interact with get so use to seeing you “made up”  that when you go a day or two without wearing makeup you can begin to feel self conscious. This even begun to be difficult for me. My skin without makeup had begin to look dull, pale and less lively. I couldn’t belive I was feeling this way about myself! I’ve completed a full 7 days of no makeup! This week I gave my skin a break and I really can already see the difference. Its definitely best to go out Au Naturale sometimes so that your skin can take a much needed break, but also during this time you can look at yourself and feel just as confident without makeup as you are with it. Let’s get into this “Au Naturale Slay” HONEY!

Sidenote: filling in my brows still count as no makeup right “insert side eye…….. 👀”

*This is my no make up face. I only used ponds moisturizer and my TooFaced Hangover Rx primer just to give my skin a natural unblemished texture, oh and I filled in my brows slightly with the essence beauty eyebrow gel in 01 brown*

I’m 30 years old. I have loved writing since I was 12 years old. Writing poetry was my favorite pastime that eventually turned into me drafting a short story that I never showed anyone by the way. I started Latoyatalks as a way to begin my blogging journey. I’ve always wanted to write about my personal experiences, and to give advice to others surrounding education and beauty. These are all topics I enjoy and feel connected to. In the future I hope to grow latoyatalks to a website where people can come to find awesome advice, read some compelling stories about my life experiences that hopefully they take something from. Also to help families understand different techniques to educate and care for their family. While also touching base on my favorite beauty and fashion trends! - Latoya
