Today I want to share my current favorite obsession the Amazon Paperwhite Kindle E-Reader This tiny device captured my heart even more than my first e-reader the Nook Color. This is Amazon’s third generation of this particular e-reader, and it comes with some new features that make the device more advanced. One of the newest features I enjoy is the backlight capability. In earlier Kindle devices, this feature was overlooked which played a major part in the initial reason I settled for the nook color. I do most of my reading at night so having a device that came with a backlight was pretty much a prerequisite. With the backlight, you are able to control the intensity of the light, as well as turn it off to conserve battery life. Another major feature of the Paperwhite Kindle is Wi-Fi capability. In this day and age having Wi-Fi on a device is a must as it makes using the device while traveling a breeze. Having Wi-Fi on the device allows you to connect to the Amazon store and purchase new books on the go as well as download titles from your Amazon library. The last key reason this e-reader is a better option for avid readers such as myself is because it supports Overdrive. Overdrive allows users to borrow eBooks and audiobooks instantly if that have access to a School/University or Public library card. With over a million titles at your fingertips this free feature is the key reason the Paperwhite is my current favorite obsession. With this I’m able to download all the books on my wish list and read them for free! You can loan a book for up to 14 days which is more than enough time to read a novel for me. I’ve only had the Amazon Paperwhite Kindle E-Reader device for 4 days, and it’s already become one of my obsessions! It’s practically attached to me everywhere I go.
