Straightening My Natural Hair!!

Its been 16 months since I’ve relaxed my hair, the time sure has passed by quickly. Although I didn’t do a “big chop” on my hair I did on a few occasions cut some of the straight stains of hair that remained. In doing that and allowing my hair to stay in protective styles I was able to allow my hair to grow out and retain the length of my hair.

Yes, I know retaining length isn’t the most important part of this journey. It definitely was to regain healthier hair. I do think that the process to transitioning from relaxed to natural was a great decision for me, my hair is now so much healthier, fuller and much more easier to maintain.
I was getting ready for a night out and decided to wash, and straighten my hair. This is always a process! One that I don’t look forward too but non the less it has to be done.

Today’s GRWM I decided to take you through the process of straightening my hair and there’s even a little short makeup tutorial at the end. I hope you’ve been enjoying these videos. It’s a phase that I’m sure won’t last but until then enjoy.

I’m 31 years old. I have loved writing since I was 12 years old. Writing poetry was my favorite pastime that eventually turned into me drafting a short story that I never showed anyone by the way. I started Latoyatalks as a way to begin my blogging journey. I’ve always wanted to write about my personal experiences, and to give advice to others surrounding education and beauty. These are all topics I enjoy and feel connected to. In the future I hope to grow latoyatalks to a website where people can come to find awesome advice, read some compelling stories about my life experiences that hopefully they take something from. Also to help families understand different techniques to educate and care for their family. While also touching base on my favorite beauty and fashion trends! I'm now on Youtube follow my journey there as well! - Latoya
